How to open a Net 30 account
Rather talk it through first? Start a chat using the button on any page and we will walk you through what the application asks for.
-
Apply online
A short form: your legal business name, business address, federal tax ID, and your own details as an officer of the company. Complete every field — a part-finished application is the most common reason one comes back to us.
-
We review it
We check the business details you have given us. If anything needs clarifying, someone from our team will call you rather than decline the application.
-
Activate your account
Crown accounts run on an annual membership, which is what opens the account and keeps your terms active. The full terms and the exact fees are set out in the application, before you agree to anything.
-
Order
Shop the catalog and check out against your account. You are told your spending limit when the account is opened, and you can see it any time in your account.
-
Pay within 30 days
Your invoice is due 30 days from its date. Settle it in full by then and there is no interest to pay.
What you need to be approved
You will need
- A US business. Accounts are opened for businesses in the United States and its territories.
- Your business details. Legal business name, street address and federal tax ID (EIN).
- Authority to sign. You apply as an authorized officer and controlling party of the business. Federal rules also require us to record anyone holding 25% or more of it.
- To be 18 or over.
- An annual membership. It opens the account and keeps your terms active. The fee is shown in the application.
Paying for what you ordered
- Every invoice is due 30 days from its invoice date.
- Pay in full by the due date and no interest is charged.
- Your invoices and your balance are in your account, and the payment details you gave us when the account was opened are the ones we bill.
- Late payments and returned payments carry a fee. The amounts are set out in the terms you accept with your application.
- Something wrong on a bill? Tell us and we will sort it out.
Net 30 accounts, answered plainly
What is a Net 30 account?
A Net 30 account lets an approved business order now and pay the invoice within 30 days, interest-free. Instead of paying at the point of purchase, you get the supplies today and settle within 30 days of the invoice date.
Can a new business open a Net 30 account?
Yes. A long trading history is not a requirement, and companies with little or no established credit history open accounts here. Approval and your spending limit are decided from the application.
Do I have to be approved before I can order?
Yes. Crown sells through its Net 30 account program, so an approved account is what unlocks ordering.
What can I order on the account?
Everything in the catalog — office supplies, electronics and equipment — on the same 30-day terms.
Is there interest to pay?
No. Settle the invoice in full by its due date and no interest is charged. Late payments and returned payments carry a fee, which is set out in the terms you accept with your application.
Stock the office now. Pay for it next month.
The application takes a few minutes and asks only for details you already know by heart.
